By Wendy | May 10, 2012 | 5 Comments

My Gramma always said “If wishes were fishes we’d all have a fry” Yes she’s from Oklahoma! LOL My grandparents have the best one liners of anyone I know.   I made this card for a Graduation gift.  I just love how it turned out.  It has symbolism… Go confidently in the direction of your dreams… and the fish is jumping out of his little fish bowl.  This is so simple but probably one of my favorite cards I’ve ever made. Also – as a treat for my fav card… Order $50 in product online between May 10th and May 31st and I will send a you a free stampin’ pad of your color choice! SUO Challenge #44 – Mothers Day Card

By Wendy | May 9, 2012 | 5 Comments

This is my first EVER challenge that I have entered on a blog.  I love SU-Only’s blog and I am always going over there and checking it out.  So I finally got the nerve to enter their challenge.  The challenge was to make a Mothers Day card. Here is my card: I used Whisper White cardstock for the base cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.  Layered a piece of Daffodil Delight, cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″, and then a piece of Summer Smooches paper cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″.  I used the Labels Framelits to make the little design with the sentiment on it. (see future tutorial on that)… and I used Blessings From Heaven stamp set for the sentiment.  And of course my fav Whisper White Organza Ribbon for the ribbon wrapped around.  The flower I made using the Fancy Flower punch, you can view the […]

By Wendy | May 7, 2012 | 2 Comments

Hello Everyone,I had a great weekend, taught a class on Saturday that went well.  Church on Sunday was amazing.  How about that video and post – the WHAT DO YOU WANT? one… Holy Moly!  I had no idea it would cause such a stir!  I had more comments on that video and blog post than any of my other video’s or posts.  I even got HATE comments! LOL.  So here is what I know for sure:A) There were so many opinions that it would be impossible to please/meet everyone’s needs and wants.  But a running theme was – simple how to’s and more scrapbooking stuffB)  Some feel my videos are below a professional standard.  To address this I would say, I have a 3 yr old and I am a stay at home wife and Mom, who is also heavily involved in church and runs a home based business.  I […]
